I spearheaded the research, development, implementation, and training of a new ticketing webserver (running on Ubuntu/Apache/MySQL/PHP) for library staff to submit tickets to the I.T. and maintenance departments.

Experience really is the best teacher. Middle Georgia Regional Library has provided me with an excellent opportunity to manage a few hundred PCs and about a dozen networks.

There's a lot going on in my day-to-day, so it's necessary to have a place for me to jot down all the tasks I complete. I continually update this post with new projects I am working on for the library. This process helps me refine and organize my ideas efficiently so that my brain can focus on the important stuff.

The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.

The usefullness does not stop at coding, however. It's a nifty device to have for a multitude of reasons.
